Hello!

     My name is Jess. Ever since I was little, I have been fascinated with ancient Egyptian history. Something about the mystique always called to me. As a child I had wanted to be an Egyptologist, until I understood that it would mean I might have to touch mummies! Needless to say, much like Emma, the main character in my books, I found that to be a deal breaker. However, my fascination with ancient Egyptian history did not fade. In college, I took all the ancient and classics classes offered. In 2008, I was fortunate enough to travel to Egypt and Jordan. No class could not prepare me for the incredible experience of gazing upon the pyramids with my own eyes, or walking the halls that the Pharaohs had once roamed. I have incorporated many of my own experiences, like being serenaded by Jordanians with bagpipes in ancient Jerash. Who would have guessed? I have also included true historical facts into this novel.
